NUTRITION
Nutrition For a Healthy Brain and Body
These are the most important things you can do to improve your health through nutrition:

1.  Cook or learn how to cook for yourself. Let us know if you would like cooking classes for special diets
     or for health in general.

2.  Foundation of diet is 5 vegetables per day (rainbow of colors), at least a 2 x 2 inch piece of each
     vegetable.

3. Protein, in the form of free range or grass fed poultry, meat or game, eggs, dairy or wild (not farmed)
fish (avoiding the large predatory fish  which accumulates mercury such as swordfish).
Eat 1-2 fruits per day.
Eat nuts and healthy oils (cooking with olive oil), flax, fish oil, cod liver oil (again from sources without
mercury).  Eat or take supplements of essential fatty acids especially supplementation with omega  3
fatty acids, unless allergic to fish.

4. Take good multi-mineral/multivitamin daily (without sugar or dyes).

5.  Eat organic non genetically-modified foods.

6.  Consider Genetic screen for individual body needs (genomic blood testing).
Genova Diagnostics Genomics can test individual for propensity for particular disease.
Consider Yasko evaluation.

7.  Consider running a comprehensive, functional blood and urine test to determine nutritional
deficiencies and to generate a tailored diet and supplement program to optimize health and to
resolve medical problems due to dietary deficiencies and excesses.
